    The collar, the placket and both sleeves are a checked woven shirt; the body is a knit with a raised diamond texture running front and back. It is one garment, so you get the layered look without owning two things or having to keep a shirt hem tucked in. The V sits open enough to show the collar and the two buttons under it, and the knit cuffs finish the plaid sleeves at the wrist.
