    An elastic panel runs down each side and a loop sits at the heel, so these go on without sitting down and without a lace in sight. The upper is soft and matte rather than polished, which keeps them on the right side of smart for trousers and stops them looking formal with chinos. A clean round toe and a low sole hold the shape between the two. Three warm tones from near-black to light tan.
