    These chelsea boots keep the classic round toe and set it on a thick rubber sole, so the shape reads retro but the footing is modern. Elastic side gussets let them pull on without a lace or a zip, and a heel loop takes the effort out of it. The upper burnishes with wear and the colour deepens over time. They sit well with straight denim or a tapered trouser.
